A female superhero who really doesn’t need a man to save the world — what will Hollywood think of next! Israeli actress Gal Gadot is entertaining as the female warrior living an uneventful life on a mythical women-only island when a World War I pilot (Chris Pine, perpetually bemused) accidentally flies onto the island, German soldiers in pursuit. The CGI is, of course, good, but a generally predictable, and not really feminist, story, in the end. A decent popcorn flick, as the saying goes.
