I give this sweet animated story of a young Canadian aspiring poet (voiced by Sandra Oh) who wins a trip to Tehran, Iran, to participate in a poetry contest, top marks for creativity, but I can’t say it held my attention throughout. In Iran the titular character learns wise lessons about how to appreciate other cultures and perspectives, while learning more about the Iranian father she believes abandoned her as a child. A bit too earnest for my tastes.
