Enough with the apes, already! Yes, we know about man’s inhumanity to his fellow man, let alone what man does to animals and the environment, so the only thing worthwhile here is, in my opinion, the special effects, which are very impressive. (And also Woody Harrelson’s performance as a particularly cruel colonel leading soldiers on a mission to destroy the remaining ape population, who because of a virus are now super-intelligent, of course.) Perhaps I was left cold by this movie because I watched it while on a lengthy plane ride. To be fair, a good number of critics were impressed with this finale of a rebooted trilogy. Feel free to make up your own mind.
