What happens when religious fundamentalists (jihadists, in this case) invade a peaceful Malian city is what this (fictional) film is about.  Surprisingly, there is not much physical violence on the screen, but it is a frightening tale nonetheless. The characters are fleshed out and seem real even though the physical and human landscape is distant from my own.  (Sub-titled.)
