It’s a dark comedy and it’s a drama, but a very human story, powered by the amazing acting chops of star Frances McDormand as a mother trying to find some justice for her murdered daughter. To do so, her character rents three large billboards on the outskirts of town asking why the town police chief (another wonderful performance by Woody Harrelson) is not working to solve this crime. The appearance of the billboards starts a chain reaction of life-altering events for many of the characters. Terrific story, superb acting and very moving.
