The Wedding Plan

Set in Israel’s ultra-Orthodox community, this is a tale of a thirty-plus-year-old woman abandoned by her fiancée weeks before the planned wedding, and her desire to go ahead regardless, if only she can find someone to be her husband.  I found it easy to suspend my disbelief and enjoy this story about faith and fate, especially given the wonderful performance of the lead, Noa Koler.  The film has humour (sometimes a bit dark) and sadness, but plays them effectively and enjoyably.  (Subtitles.)
