(Seen at TIFF) A very intense, in-your-face portrayal of what happens when several generations of an Argentinian family get together at a country house for a few days. The focus here is on one family, an unhappy mother/wife, a teenage girl just reaching puberty, and the very dominant father. You’ve got marital tensions, secrets galore, sleepwalking, sexual awakening, as well as arguments about finances — i.e. real life family challenges. Very good a and sympathetic performances — you’ll be rooting for some of them. (Subtitles.)
