A charmer of a story about a 20-year-old with Down’s syndrome who, because he has no family to care for him, has been kept in a nursing home, from which he tries and finally succeeds in escaping. His dream: to meet his idol, a professional wrestler who he knows only from old videotapes. Lovely performances from the star, Zack Gottsagen, who in real life has Down’s syndrome, Shia LaBeouf (as man on the run from people he has stolen from), Dakota Johnson (as a very kind staffer at the nursing home who has befriended Zack), and Thomas Haden Church (as the wrestling idol). The journey is by foot, car and homemade raft. Sweet and heart-warming, the ending will leave you feeling good.
