An “A” for effort and creativity, but a lesser mark for the impact of this tale of modern-day America with a President who wants all citizens to sign a loyalty oath (encouraged by agents of an agency of Homeland Security). Of course, some folks will gladly (or reluctantly) sign on, while others will resist, and that difference will tear some families apart. Unfortunately, subtlety is in very short supply, and while there are some good political points to be made, and some very funny scenes, the story’s focus on one family’s experience over a Thanksgiving weekend runs out of gas (even before its 90-minute run time).
