A bleak, gritty but interesting tale of police and political corruption set in modern-day Russia. The starting point is a police major’s accidental killing of child when he loses control of his speeding car. This tragic event has consequences for the police, politicians, and the family of the child once the major decides to place the blame squarely on the child’s mother. Good performances all around.
