An English Canadian spin on a French Canadian story about a small east coast town that will do and say pretty much anything to woo a full-time doctor in order to get a company to invest big time in its community, where welfare has become a way of life. Brendan Gleeson is enjoyable to watch, but I’m not convinced this film needed to be remade. I was a wee tired of the story by about 2/3 way through.
