One could think that a tale of young girl in Nazi Germany, abandoned by her parents to a foster family in order to save her, who becomes a book thief and a protector to a Jewish man being hidden in her basement, and starring the great Geoffrey Rush, would be, at the least, quite interesting, but alas, the tale chugs along, every move anticipated. Not a bad film, but disappointing to me.
