This very droll and very low-key comedy (with a bit of drama and a dash of the absurd thrown in) from director Lynn Shelton is set in the US south and has us follow the twists and turns a seemingly straight forward sale (on the black market) of a Confederate sword takes. Marc Maron charmingly plays a seen-it-and-been-through-it-all owner of a pawn shop in Alabama who is conscripted by a couple of customers to sell the sword (which, it is claimed, could prove the South actually won the Civil War). Let’s just say that selling such items on the black market can prove trickier than you would expect. This is definitely a story for which the journey is more much more important than the destination.
