In the Silicon Valley area a 16-year old girl goes missing and her widowed father (played with just the right level of panic by John Cho) discovers, while searching frantically for her, that he has no clue about his daughter’s real life. Variation on a familiar theme, of course, but what is different here is that we watch all the proceedings (father contacts police, daughter’s friends, relatives; father chases leads, primarily to dead ends) through the devices that define much a young person’s life these days: laptop, smart phone, iPad. Decent suspense film.
