Crude and rude, yes, but also many flashes of intelligence and creativity (and humour) in this mockumentary of a simpleton pop star (Andy Samberg) whose career goes way up and way down, with and without his original bandmates/musical brothers. Not on the level of “This is Spinal Tap” — not even close — but it makes for a good time at the movies.
