This French Canadian film by Xavier Dolan was Canada’s official entry for a foreign film Oscar.  The story is pretty straightforward — widowed single mom, caring for a teenage son with many emotional problems (ADHD, etc.), is struggling.  The acting is terrific and the ending will likely leave you disturbed, even though you’ll see it coming.
