Jazz legend Miles Davis had talent and audacity galore, along with a troubled soul that cost him love and health. You’ll see it all in this terrific documentary, from his (relatively privileged) upbringing to his first hand experience with racist violence to his dreadful treatment of the women in his life, but most of all, his incredible musical skills and his ability to reinvent his musical self. Whether you know much about Miles or not, this is an impressive tale.
