Madeline’s Madeline

This very indie film is set in the world of experimental physical theatre and is not subtle in its theme of where performance ends and reality begins. Unfortunately, I tired of the story after about half of its 90-minute length, especially the way the camera, in a near state of constant swirl, made me a bit dizzy at times, although the lead actor’s — Helena Howard — debut performance is quite intense. (Molly Parker is fine as the director of the theatre troupe.) Good intentions, but not the results I’m sure the director was hoping for.
