Set in the poor areas of big city Philippine, we follow the eponymous character as her husband is busted by a corrupt police force for the low level drug dealing she and her family are involved in to make a living. After the arrest comes the inevitable bribes that must be paid and the struggle to pay off the cops. An interesting look at poverty and the inevitable corruption that is its sidekick, seen through the eyes of a mother trying to look out for her brood. (Subtitled. Seen at TIFF.)
