It’s hard to believe that this was Russia’s entry for an Academy Award nomination, given that it shows Russia in such a poor light.  But what a story!  Super performances that carry you on a journey of corruption (of course), jealousy, love and friendship.  Warning: intense bleakness.  One of favourites.  (Sub-titled.)
