In Mexico City, a young, Jewish female artist falls for a non-Jewish guy.  However, her family is very unhappy at this turn of events and do everything short of disowning her (including an intervention) to get her to change her ways.  The young woman’s struggle with her family and her own relationship to Judaism starts off interesting — including the very insular nature of Mexico City’s Jewish community — but then loses its power. We are expected to believe that this has been a journey of self-discovery, but I’m not sure what lessons have been learned.  (Subtitles.)
