An interesting subject — Lyndon Baines Johnson in the days before (as US Senate majority leader), during and especially when he assumed the US presidency after JFK’s assassination.  However, despite Woody Harrelson’s strong performance (and heavy makeup) as the titular character, the rest of the story falls dramatically short, surprisingly, given how much material the writers/director had to work with.
