An emotionally moving and difficult (based on a true) story of how at the end of WWII the Allies used German POWs, many of whom were barely teenagers) to clear land mines along the coast of Denmark. This Danish film, up for a foreign film Oscar, mainly follows a group of these boys in the control a Danish sergeant who feels both compassion for, and anger against, them, and acts accordingly.
