Killing of a Sacred Deer

An excellent but tough film to watch, dealing with themes of revenge, crime and punishment, based on Greek mythology, but set in modern times with what can be described as characters who don’t seem quite of this world — although they speak in very clear English, they don’t speak naturally or like anyone I know.  Very strange, indeed, but worth your time to watch to Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, and especially Barry Keoghan (last seen in the film Dunkirk) grapple with the consequences of, and repentance for, events of the past.  If you’ve seen any of Director Yorgos Lanthimos’s previous films — The Lobster was his last one, I believe — you know you’re in for something different.  (Not for the more sensitive souls among you.)
