A powerful and true WWII tale of Polish Jews who survived for 14 months during the Holocaust in the sewers of the Polish city of Lvov. What impressed me most was that the rescuer ( a the Pole brought and kept the Jews in the sewers) and a number of the rescued were portrayed in more than two — good and bad — dimensions. Shades of grey are everywhere.
