An entertaining and very interesting look at the work of Alfred Hitchcock primarily through the eyes of François Truffaut who conducted a week-long interview with Hitch in the mid-1960s. (Truffaut wrote a book about those interviews, which were conducted in French with the assistance of a translator.) You’ll come away from this documentary with a renewed appreciation for the Hitchcock’s skill and talent after hearing what Truffaut (and more modern talking heads such as Martin Scorsese and David Lynch) has to say. (Some subtitles.)
