Yes, there is a plot, and an ok one, about two Texas brothers (played by Chris Pine and Ben Foster) who rob banks for, in their minds, a good reason, but the strengths of this film are: atmosphere (the parched smaller towns of West Texas — although filmed in New Mexico); Jeff Bridges, who is terrific as one of two Texas Rangers on the case and steals almost every scene he is in; and rich dialogue, alternately sparse and loquacious. A well-paced thoroughly enjoyable storytelling experience.
