The talented and always delightful French actress Isabelle Huppert appears to have great fun as a very troubled (i.e. deranged) woman in NYC who befriends a young motherless lady (Chloe Grace Moretz) who could use some motherly support.  Unfortunately, that’s not what the young lady will receive.  The worth of this over-the-top flick lies pretty much all in Huppert’s hands; other than that, there’s not much else here to recommend to you.
