I was looking forward to this story — seen mainly from the perspective of a navy pilot played by Ethan Hawke, who as always does a good job with what he has — about the use of drones by the US military, but sadly I found it offered very little new on the subject. In addition, I found that dealing with the topic of a conflicted soldier’s (and country’s) use of this technology to take lives (innocent ones in many cases) the movie used only the most obvious of concerns and made most of the characters rather one dimensional.
