Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles

A joyous and fascinating documentary journey exploring the origins of Fiddler on the Roof, the story behind the story of a tale (or rather tales, in Yiddish, by Sholem Aleichem, in the 19th century) that became a very popular Broadway production in the 1960s, and from there took off around the world (and still goes strong in professional and amateur productions in many countries).  Like the play, this film can speak to people of different religions and cultures on the themes of love, family, longing, etc.  Who knew the story resonates so strongly in Japan! (Some subtitles.)
