I wanted to be more impressed with this quiet documentary about a Michelin-starred chef who is handing over his restaurant to his son. The scenes that took place within his gorgeous restaurant in hilly region of France (and in his new restaurant in Japan), and the scenes dealing with food preparation, are quite interesting, but I felt the time spent on hearing from the other family members, or watching the family go for hikes, were not interesting and didn’t allow me to learn much about the father and son. C’est la vie.
