An interesting and entertaining documentary looking back at the incredibly rich and influential music scene in California’s Laurel Canyon in the 1960s, where bands such as The Beach Boys, The Byrds, The Mamas and the Papas, etc., strutted their musical stuff. Artists in that community collaborated — professionally and personally — to create fantastic music. Jakob Dylan (Bob’s son) ably leads our tour of this time and place, with great assists from talking heads such as Brian Wilson, Eric Clapton, Stephen Stills, (the late) Tom Petty. One hell of a tour.
