Although set in pre-Civil War south America, this Quentin Tarantino film may remind you of Pulp Fiction in its wordplay and wild and violent scenes. The violence is plentiful, but mostly cartoonish, expect for showing the treatment of slaves by their white masters. Christopher Waltz and Leonardo Di Caprio give nothing short of amazing performances, and Samuel L. Jackson is downright scary in an Uncle Tom role. You’ll most likely love it or hate it, and I loved it.
