A Tamil Tiger fighter blends into the mass of Tamil refugees, is paired up with a woman who must pretend to be his wife, and an orphaned girl who must pretend she is their daughter,  and the three of them find themselves making their way to a very rough part of a suburban France town.  There the title character works as a caretaker in a violent housing project as he (and his pretend family) try to forge a life.  Very gritty and powerful reflection on the lives of minority immigrants and of the racism and poverty of pockets of Europe (standing in for the “West?”)  Very good acting and interesting story.  (Subtitled.)
