An enjoyable documentary about the renowned sleight-of-hand magician and actor (and historian), who you may have seen in some of David Mamet’s films. I learned quite a bit about the history of magic and sleight-of-hand from this film, and the routines you see on the screen are quite remarkable. Good use of archival pictures and film. It’s a world I didn’t know that much about before, but it’s quite something to see how devoted these folks are to their craft.
