Based on the book of the same name (which I have not read), this charming, sweet and straight forward story is about a young woman’s move from small town Ireland to Brooklyn in the 1950s in search of a better life. Being torn between the old country (and family), and love and possibilities in the new one, is an age-old tale, but the storytelling and acting makes it worth your while.
