Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Margo Robbie, John Lithgow and other high-wattage stars tell the story of how the very powerful Roger Ailes, head of Fox News, was brought down by anchor Gretchen Carlson and others who suffered from his sexual harassment. Unfortunately, the movie doesn’t do them or their story justice, with too much played for laughs, and subtlety very much missing in action. Still, Theron is great as anchor Megyn Kelly, a frequent target of Donald Trump after she asks him a tough question at a Republican primary debate. Also on the plus side, the film has lots of style and Lithgow is really, really, scary as the predator Ailes.
