Birdman (or the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

I had a great time watching Michael Keaton impress as a washed-up actor (known for playing a superhero in sequel after sequel year ago, and now struggling to direct and star in a Broadway play.  The movie looks like it was filmed in one or two takes, it takes place mostly in the Broadway theatre, and the camera takes you very close up into everyone’s faces, so that it feels surprisingly intimate.  Edward Norton, Emma Stone and others are a hoot to watch in action, and all the actors play very well together.
