I wasn’t that familiar with Marvel Comics’ Ant-Man character — a man with the ability to shrink himself down to the size of, well, an ant — but that didn’t matter; historical context is definitely not needed for enjoyment of this silly but charming and fun movie (a sequel, apparently, to the original Ant-Man from 2015). Paul Rudd is delightful as the Ant-Man, accompanied by the talented Evangeline Lilly as the Wasp, once again battling villains, saving a life from the “quantum realm” (whatever that is), etc. Ignore the quantum-speak and just enjoy.
