I love the premise: what if (due to some kind of freak electrical storm) everyone in the world, except at least one person, a struggling small city dude and singer/songwriter (nicely played by Himesh Patel in his first film), suddenly didn’t remember anything — and I mean anything — about The Beatles (and a few other things). Well, our hero could do quite well — and he does, in this cinematic universe — bringing the legendary band’s music to the masses. Alas, the execution doesn’t live up to the promise — e.g. predictable story lines, supporting characters who are too cartoonish — but it’s still a sweet and enjoyable film nonetheless.
