Golda

Golda Meir is commonly known as Israel’s first (and so far only) female Prime Minister — 1969-74 — and that nation’s grandmother.  But what is not as well known is how her legacy is viewed so differently inside Israel compared to outside.  The starting and ending point of this very interesting documentary is a discussion Golda had with two interviewers with an Israeli TV station in 1978,  once the interview went off the air. (The TV cameras stayed on to record a fascinating conversation.). Informative talking heads, some pro, some against Golda, and relevant and interesting archival footage. Whether you know much or little about Golda Meir, I’m guessing you will be more knowledgeable once you see this film.  (Subtitles.)
