Start with a character who is forced to ingest some kind of larva that changes how she sees and reacts with the world, add a person who may have been exposed to the same thing in the past, and all watched over, mostly from afar, by someone who raises pigs (and yes, the pigs are important to the story). This is a certainly an abstract and experimental film that is, for some reason, absorbing. Many critics have highly rated this film — I’m just not sure why (although I am not criticizing it).
