Set in 1960s Poland, this is a story of nun in training who is sent to visit an aunt she has never met (and who is her only living relative) and learns for the first time of her Jewish heritage.  The film has been washed of colour and is devoid of almost (with a couple of strong exceptions) all overt drama; however, I was surprised at how haunting it was.  (Subtitled.)
