What more needs to be said: Keanu Reeves is a retired hitman pulled back into his former life, he wears black, he can kill without breaking too much of a sweat (and his injuries sure do heal quickly) and everything looks pretty cool on the screen. What elevates this revenge flick above the ordinary (but not that high above the ordinary) is the dark comedy that bubbles up at key moments. If this kind of story appeals to you, it’s worth a couple hours of your time.
