Brad Pitt is, of course, well suited to play the heroic type and he performs well with the men he commands in his WW II tank corps.  The cinematography is quite graphic  — not much of battle is left to the imagination — and impressive, and while the story hits all the clichés and stereotypes, this is a decent film.  Unfortunately, I don’t think it adds much new to the war film genre.
