When Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg work together, you know the outcome will be good. This inspired-by-a-true-story film has Hanks playing the U.S. (insurance!) lawyer who negotiated a prisoner swap in the late 1950s with the Soviets. Of course Hanks plays a hero (and plays him well), all the actors perform well, and the cinematography is excellent. Enjoyable but perhaps not a memorable film.
