The only reason I didn’t put this disappointing film in the “not recommended” category is that Tina Fey is the star. Her acting and comic talents keeps this (based on a true-)story of a sheltered city reporter being sent to Pakistan and Afghanistan in the early 2000s afloat. Almost every character is stereotyped and underdeveloped, except for Tina’s. Fey proves she can act — too bad about the movie.
