I had high hopes for the latest of Richard Linklater’s films (he of “Boyhood” fame, a favourite of mine), but this story, set in a Texas college town circa 1980s, of a college baseball team had me laughing occasionally but more frequently fighting tiredness. Cinematography was nice, though.
