Julieta

One of the less melodramatic (but quietly dramatic) films by Pedro Almodovar.  The acting is top-notch in this story (based on several stories by Alice Munro — which I have not read), set in modern-day Spain, of a middle-aged woman who struggles to deal with a painful family past.  If you are more interested in the destination than the journey, then you may want to skip this one.  However, if you are willing to enter the mind of someone wracked by grief and longing, go forth. (Subtitled.)
