An incredible jazz trumpeter, Lee Morgan was killed by his wife, Helen Morgan in 1972, the very person who had saved his life years before as he was on his way to a likely death via drug abuse. This documentary appears to deal more through the perspective of Helen than about Lee and his talent. Nothing wrong with that approach, but I was left wanting to know much more about Lee and hear more of his incredible music.
